A very slow start and it seemed to take forever for the story to kick in. The first few pages were exciting and then…screeeeeech…it came to an abrupt halt.

The plot became stagnant and I cerry the excitement to kick back in. The characters were interesting enough, Dani was fun, spunky and had a wild back story that brought her to the Sea Wolf. There was a strong attraction between the two of them, but I found myself willing them to take it to the next level.

I have to say though, when they finally acted on their desire for one another…they brought it home!!! The impenetrable Vodtex was brought to his knees and Dani finally got a man she was so deserving of, they were a dynamite couple.

She tasted, Logan thought, brushing her hair from her eyes, like the love of his life. The setting for the book is rather unique, a salvage ship hunting for treasure in an exotic location, pirates stalking their every move. Sexy men traipsing around in swim trunks and wet suits, these guys live for the thrill of the dive, but barely made it into the water. View all 30 comments. Dec 01, Auntee rated it liked it Recommends it for: Sadly, not my favorite of the series. I had high hopes for this one too, especially after reading the first two.

Maybe Cherry Adair set the bar too high? Whatever, I just never fully believed in the romance between the leads, treasure hunter Logan Cutter and art gallery owner Dani Rosado. Don’t get me wrong, parts of it were very entertaining, and CA’s writing had me turning the pages.

Vortex – Extended Edition (Cutter Cay Book 3) by Cherry Adair (3 star ratings)

Logan just seemed to be actin Sadly, not my favorite of the series. Logan just seemed to be cgerry out of character when he fell so quickly for Dani. Which was all well and good, but I just didn’t see that happening to him in such a short span of time. This bowl gortex some important clues Logan’s ship, the “Sea Wolf” Well done, with plenty of steam. If I had believed in the romance Logan and Dani had plenty of steamy encounters Logan’s dog, “Dog”, had plenty of page time Wish you did a better job in this book Sadly, they didn’t do a very good job.: But just as the suspense really started cooking, it ended rather abruptly with a cgerry.

The series isn’t over yet, even though we’ve run out of original Cutter brothers there is a just discovered Cutter bro waiting in the wings, though.

I’d also love to read a story about Logan’s friend Jed, and one involving the redhead from the rival “Sea Witch” can’t remember her name, but I have a sneaking suspicion that she might be their long-lost sister. So, maybe this one didn’t live up to the standard Cherry Adair set with the first two. It was still an enjoyable read, and I do enjoy the whole treasure-hunt premise of the series. I just hope she gets back on track with the next one. View all 4 comments.

May 22, Kathleen rated it it was amazing. Once the story started going it grabbed me big time. I loved reading how Logan, Daniela and Logan’s team went about looking and finding the treasure. These types of story’s always fascinate me. The action in this book was as good as it gets making the story very exciting. I was very happy that Cherry kept the bedroom door open once these two finally got their hands on each other. Logan was so patient and caring with Daniela and it was very romantic and nothing over the top for the readers who like their romances sweet.

The bad guy vorex a real creep and did terrible things to the heroine. I was so happy when he got his comeuppance in the end. I would have loved it if Cherry would have add just one more chapter before the ending that included Logan and his team retrieving the rest of the treasure and of Logan winning the bet made with his brothers because he found the biggest treasure.

Speaking of Jonah, I was happy to see avair Cherry has another book addair this series coming out Spring of called Stormchaser and of course it will be Jonas’s story. You can bet that I’ll be reading it when I can get my greedy hands on it.

This is Logan’s book, the eldest Cutter brother, he’s responsible and loves running the business and hates liars and his BS meter starts running the moment he rescues the heroine from the sea and she fakes amnesia.

The heroine adiar in a world of trouble, she ran from her ex to cherdy criminal cousins who threw cherrry over-board so that she could lead the hero to a ship they wanted him cortex salvage. She lies at the start and feels terrible about it and then she confesses part of the truth, about her cousins and the treasure.

I have seldom read about a more creepier villain than the heroine’s ex and his position of power made him even more creepier. All in all not Cherry’s best, it had great sexual tension but parts of it grossed me out, I just haven’t been feeling that much of romantic suspense lately and the graphic things bothered me plus I was also bored in the middle.

Really kept me interested. I liked the characters and the setting. Would have liked more in the treasure hunting, but still I was enjoying the story. Until just after the halfway point.

Then we get the details on the bad guy.

Vortex: Cherry Adair: : Books

Nothing ruins a story quicker than a bad guy who’s so very bad that he’s just plain stupid. It was vkrtex if every cliche and foolish bad guy trope was thrown in.

And of course all his people arou Well goodness this was not good. And of course all his people around him are bad and they support the bad guy.

I couldn’t wait for it to be done. Really disappointing because it didn’t have to be this bad. This book reminded me why I used to look forward to reading Cherry Adair books.

I guess I’ll have to add her back to my author list. Reviewed in the June issue of Affaire de Coeur magazine. Sep 17, Jess rated it it was ok Shelves: This was a struggle for me to finish. It was boring, neither of the leads pulled me into the story.
