Protrepticus (Ancient Greek: Προτρεπτικός) may refer to: Protrepsis and paraenesis, two closely Christian conversion by Clement of Alexandria; Protrepticus, a work by the Neoplatonist Iamblichus; Protrepticus, one of the Idyllia of Ausonius. Iamblichus was a Syrian Neoplatonist philosopher of Arab origin. He determined the direction that would later be taken by Neoplatonic philosophy.
