I kept hanging on for a little more romance or things to turn up, but it was sort of random and went ALL over the place, only to have two pages of happiness at the end. This blog was born with the purpose of sharing with the world my love for books, and the passion they create, not only in me, but in ladyy single person out there who finds a refuge in the pages, as I’ve been doing since I was a kid. On the other hand, we have Daniel Taylor, the hero in this story. I love this book!
I gave it 5 stars for being interesting and a totally different approach to a romance novel. Chapter after chapter, I was reminded milkweec that old, gothic tale. The redemption of certain characters mikkweed the end was left incomplete, which I guess reflects real life more than a reader may enjoy. Julie Klassen is an amazing, passionate author, and everything she writes is worth reading, as she creates deep, layered characters and stories that will keep you at the edge of your sit.

I just remember feeling defeated through it. Very “earthy” in some ways, wh “Romantic” novel set in something. There was one scene about nursing a baby that was a bit graphic for my tastes, but all else was handled nicely. This book is very well-written. And similar to Jane ‘s growth from innocent girlhood to woman, Charlotte also follows a similar path, Lady of Milkweed Manor is a well written novel that will appeal to older teens and adults.
When not pottering about out of doors, she seemed always to be reading some poetic nonsense or other and loved nothing more than to pose the most disturbing questions.
The plot was steady and realistic. I’m more than halfway through her published books and haven’t found a dud yet. Prayer, daily time spent in the Bible, a relationship with God, these were all absent. I suppose Father’s anger is right and just. While I am not saying that this is the most spiritual book I have ever read, God, the Bible, prayer, forgiveness, consequences of our sins fill the pages if we look.
The ending was both predictable and or awkward; to jump from the heart of a dramatic climax to a garden Julie Klassen writes well in a technical sense, but I found this story disturbing. Soon, Lamb must make decisions involving true love and sacrifice, providing many powerful turning points throughout the story.
As Charlotte drew closer to the looming grey edifice that was to become her temporary home, she could not help but notice the secretive shuttered windows of the ground floor. We know how you lying-in milmweed get toward the end. And the characters are endearing.

Charlotte’s mother was attended by Dr. She had no intention of picking a flower to take with her, a flower that would wither before she reached her destination, but then she saw it.
